Happy 4th of July!

Hi all! How is everyone’s weekend going so far? Mine has been great! I wish I could share more pictures from this weekend with you guys but due to time I am going to only post some from a quick photo shoot I did with http://matthewmwong.com/photography today. The first and last picture in this post were taken by me. So here’s a FOTD (face of the day) and OOTD (outfit of the day) for you. :)

I decided to go for a softer pin-up type of look just to keep it more youthful and summery.

Few key products that i’m wearing: Missha BB Cream No. 23, MAC Dolly Mix blush on cheeks, Maybelline Ultra Liner winged out on upper lid, MAC lipstick in Viva Glam Cyndi with Revlon Colorburst lipstick in Carnation on top

Outfit Challenge 1

Do you have clothing items and accessories in your wardrobe that go unworn? I sometimes pull these pieces out and challenge myself to incorporate them into an outfit. After all, something about those pieces compelled us to buy them in the first place right? My entire outfit in this post consists of items that haven’t been getting much love.

This necklace can look too loud or gaudy at times because the gold in it is quite bright. I decided to pair it with pale understated colors that needed something to warm it up and bring it to life. This way the necklace isn’t competing with anything, but rather bringing some balance to the outfit.

Maxi dresses used to not appeal to me much but they have really been growing on me, especially maxi skirts! The jersey material of this skirt gives it a more casual feel which I like.

I tucked the shirt into the skirt in the front and tied a knot in the back for a more flattering silhouette.

I am no fashionista by any means. If anything, I just appreciate the art of fashion and how expressive it is. Luckily now I can share with you all my experimental outfits in this blog! :)

Do you think this outfit works? Love it? Hate it? Let me know!
