Hey guys! I thought it’d be fun to have my boyfriend guest blog today! Be nice and welcome him
Thanks Christine! Matt here and just taking a break from my world of food to share with you a fun little day out together.
She’s been wanting to go horseback riding for a little while now and I figured what a better way to celebrate our time together than to plan a little horseback ride for two. I ended up finding a trail ride company in this beautiful little progressive village, located about 25 minutes southwest of Atlanta, called Serenbe; it has acres of preserved forests and meadows with miles of nature trails. It was perfect. Made sure Christine was free and locked in our reservation!
Fast forward to the day of our reservation. The weather was super cooperative, there was no traffic on the highway, and Christine was nothing but smiles, excited about this new experience we were about to share together (did I mention this was also my first time on horseback)? After the lengthy drive, we arrive at Serenbe and just as I put the car in park… we get an unfortunate text that the guide fell ill and was unable to take us anymore. Oh no!! I now was having an internal monologue filled with laughter and screams. All the precautions and planning, never did I think the guide would be the missing link. lol.
Anyways, Christine and I aren’t the type to get irate because of something like this. Life happens. We just messaged back to the lady hoping she was alright and that we would reach out later to reschedule. We then just made the most of the scenario and had a mini photo shoot since the weather was awesome, she was looking great in her outfit and I happened to have my camera~
Since our afternoon was now free, we took a private tour of a nearby sheep farm that a friend works at and then headed to Peachtree City (something she’s also been wanting to do) to tour the place via golf cart. The city is extra unique because they have extended / paved side walks that are devoted to golf carts!! It’s so awesome to see cars and golf carts all around. Did I mention they even have golf cart specific parking spots?! Too fun.
Not exactly the day I had planned for Christine but we made the most of it! Hope you guys enjoyed this and have a great weekend!
Hey guys! I thought I would take you behind the scenes of a fun little opportunity I had with ASD Inc., a design firm that encompasses interior, architectural, and graphic design. Each year they enter a look into IIDA Georgia Dressed which is a runway show comprised of garments made out of non-traditional materials. Sounds awesome right?? Do we have any Project Runway fans? Yes, think unconventional challenge (I couldn’t help myself haha). They brought me in to conceptualize the makeup and do a trial before runway day.
You will often find me doing more wearable looks for weddings, engagement sessions, and the like but it really excites me to switch gears every now and then because it keeps me on my toes and inspired in different ways.
I absolutely love seeing the amount of detail and dedication that goes into projects like this because it truly allows you to appreciate the work more.
Finalizing all of the details and stepping back with a critical eye. Is the vision and story coming across?
See the completed look here and here. I hope you guys enjoyed this post and found some inspiration from it like I did with my experience. As always, thanks for stopping by! Love you ~Christine
I had the honor of attending my friend’s wedding recently and I am so incredibly happy for her! She is one of those selfless and thoughtful friends that make you want to be a better person than you already are so it’s no surprise that she is loved by many.
This adorable dress had been sitting on my clothing rack for too long now just waiting for the right occasion to be worn. I’m definitely kind of having an oversized and billowy moment.
Life is so not a beach when you’re at this kind of beach! When I stepped onto the smooth white sand and caught sight of the clear blue water up ahead I literally gasped. Just breathtaking. There were also very few people on this beach at Nassau which only elevated the perfection of it all. In some ways this was like the calm before the storm as I prepare myself, physically and mentally, for my first New York Fashion Week experience. Pinch me, i’m dreaming. More posts regarding what i’m doing in New York to come!

Hi everyone! I hope you’ve all been doing well. I suppose I could fill you in on some life updates (nothing too too major) but as some of you know I do freelance as well as manage my social media and YouTube. It is certainly wedding season and the bulk of my freelancing work is usually bridal/bridal party makeup. You may have noticed that I don’t really advertise this much since dates get booked up quickly or other engagements fill up the time slots and I simply don’t like turning anyone down haha (such a softie). I also have a couple very close friends to me who are getting married this year (more to come soon I just know it!) They both invited me to be a bridesmaid which is exciting since I’ve never been one before!
In other news, Sigma Beauty has me featured on their site right now! If you didn’t receive the e-mail newsletter, they did host a Giveaway on their blog of my Top Picks that has recently ended. Do check out their post to see what I had to say on the selected brushes as well as my responses to their fun questionnaire here!
If you missed out on their Giveaway, no worries because they’re letting me host one of my own! You all know I love you right? I am always so appreciative of your support because it not only makes me incredibly happy, it also allows me to continue doing what I love to do. <3
You absolutely can shop my Favorites or any other Sigma products here. Don’t forget to use the Discount Code for May: MAY2014 to get 10% Off your order.

While jamming out to the pop music that was playing as we waited in line at Atlanta’s new ferris wheel, Skyview Atlanta, I couldn’t help but feel a little giddy. The warmth from the sun balanced out the light chill in the air perfectly and i’m honestly excited for Spring to near.
The color palette of my outfit inspired the eye look and with the slight change in weather it was time to switch it up from my usual neutrals. I am wearing Betrayal and Smokeout from the Urban Decay Vice 2 palette.
The Pantone color of the year 2014 is Radiant Orchid and I can’t really explain why this excites me other than the fact that I am just simply in love with this color. To balance the vividness of the bag I decided to integrate subtle colors such as the pale mint green of my shirt and deep faded berry of my scarf.
