Ever since our trip to London over a year ago, Matt and I occasionally reminisce about our first afternoon tea experience. I had loved everything about it; the intimate setting, tasting clotted cream for the first time, and being overwhelmed with the tiered platter of yummy bites along with us each having our own pots of tea.
I was excited when Matt had brought up the idea of doing high tea (what it is commonly known as here in the states) for Valentine’s. He arrived that day to pick me up looking very dapper in his corduroy blazer. ^_^ I loved the location he chose (Dr. Bombay’s Underwater Tea Party in Candler Park) as it was such a quaint, eclectic, and cozy little spot in which we could actually hear each other speak. We ended the night with picking up some amazing spicy samosas from a different location (Royal Sweets in Decatur) and catching up on the season premiere of the Walking Dead. Perfect romantic ending to the evening, no? haha
If you are wondering, we decided to try their Earl Grey tea and it wasn’t as robust and strong in flavor as I prefer but the little bites and the Devonshire cream were all scrumptious. Are you all tea drinkers? What kinds of teas are your favorite?
“The Toron” sandwich from Baco Mercat which consists of oxtail hash, cheddar tater, and horseradish was sinfully delicious; like no joke it was foodgasmic. I flat out said “this is greasy but in the best way possible!” 0_o.
See how happy I am walking out after this meal? Yup forget the diamonds, you can win me over with food! 😀
What I was wearing on this hot and sunny LA day:

Purse – H&M
Sandals – Shoe Land
Well this cupcake store was right across the street so I couldn’t resist. My favorite is the lemon flavor cupcake and the banana walnut is super yummy too!
I’ve been spending quite a bit of time filming and editing but I am enjoying my time out here in L.A.! This post is definitely more of a food post so if you’re looking for more outfits and fashion inspiration definitely check out my latest video!
Recently I dined out with some girlfriends at a restaurant called Parish to celebrate a birthday. It is quite dark inside this historical space but fortunately we sat right by a large window. I appreciate amazing natural lighting too much to not have taken advantage of it! Everything looks mouth-wateringly delicious doesn’t it??
I rarely crave fried chicken (ironic since i’m down here in the south) but seriously if you order anything from here–get the fried chicken! It has the right amount of breading and crisp with a light sweetness that just leaves you wanting more!
Onto the outfit! I knew the restaurant had more of a casual yet trendy ambience so I decided to dress up my day wear a little for our girls’ evening out. I switched out my day bag for this cute little Forever 21 chevron clutch. Then I threw on my Zara red sandal heels (still loving these too much) and a punch-y lip color. All quick little changes were made along with some quick photos taken by my sister 10-15 minutes right before reservation time!
I’ve loved this floral romper since last summer and i’m still wearing it and styling it in different ways. It was really warm out that day but I wanted an extra cover up and layering piece. The light chambray vest has been perfect over tanks and such and suits my more casual style.
This was the first time I had a store hosted meet and greet and I have to thank Sigma and those of you who came out for making it so special!
Signing headshots and seeing my face all over the store was certainly a foreign feeling. It was a bit overwhelming at first but as I started meeting you guys all I could feel was grateful and humbled. I am beyond fortunate to be able to dedicate a trip to meeting you all!
Lol I love how Sigma took a picture of this since I didn’t get a chance to myself!
Such a beautiful store!
Loved meeting each and every one of you! These lovely ladies wanted a picture with both me and Matt haha
So cool that I got to do my demo on one of you guys!
With Simone aka Mrs. Sigma herself! Such an inspirational and admirable woman
With the Sigma crew!
And of course Shauna! She is the one who organized this event and well she’s just awesome! <3
All images above were taken by Rasun of Sigma.
Some more behind the scenes images!
Thank you guys for making me laugh, smile, and for warming my heart with your kind words!
You all seriously inspire me SO much.
Yummy treats at the event! Drooling as I post these images lol!
Some surprise goodies and noms we found in our hotel upon arrival!
The Mall of America was certainly huge and unique–not everyday you see a roller coaster inside a mall!
Don’t ever take me too too seriously I’m a dork and kid at heart.
Hi everyone! How has your weekend been so far? I’ve been meaning to post up the rest of these pictures for a while now. I spent time editing them (color correcting and brightening mostly) to try to do Paris more justice Feel free to click on them to see an enlarged image!
And of course check out the video for more footage if you haven’t yet!
When we arrived at the Louvre Museum I was truly in awe of how beautiful it was outside. I literally could have stayed out there for hours shooting away. Of course as well all know there are so many hidden gems once you enter the museum by going down that spiral staircase in the pyramid!
