You may have noticed that I have been donning the midi length quite frequently lately (unintentionally) and by nature these types of dresses or skirts tend to be on the dressier side. Because they generally also hit around the mid calf area, pairing the look with heels is usually the safer option. I went against everything, because I can. And I think it’s a lot more fun this way. If you feel good in it, wear it because in my opinion when it comes to personal style there are no rules. I styled this dress in a way that I could see myself roaming around the streets in or even on a school campus in.
Can we also mention how excited I am about Fall being right around the corner? This look would work perfectly as a transitional Summer to Fall look You guys know i’m also a huge fan of affordable fashion and accessible pieces so this has been a fun collaboration with JCPenney! I have been so incredibly grateful and appreciative of your love and support so what better way to wrap things up than with a giveaway? There are multiple ways to Enter in this widget below, good luck! xoxo, Christine
Life is so not a beach when you’re at this kind of beach! When I stepped onto the smooth white sand and caught sight of the clear blue water up ahead I literally gasped. Just breathtaking. There were also very few people on this beach at Nassau which only elevated the perfection of it all. In some ways this was like the calm before the storm as I prepare myself, physically and mentally, for my first New York Fashion Week experience. Pinch me, i’m dreaming. More posts regarding what i’m doing in New York to come!
Bikini top and bottom – Forever 21 (on clearance! for $10 total :D)
Hi all I’m typing this up as I pack for my trip to LA tomorrow and I think this black playsuit is an ideal type of clothing item to travel with. It’s easy to dress up or down, you could pair a skirt over it for an additional look, and if you get something spilt on you it won’t be obvious haha ^^ I seriously love fuss free clothing. I also love golden hour; it’s freakin’ magical.
I am often won over by separates because of it’s practicality in it’s capability of being mixed and matched. Does anyone else find it gratifying to wear certain items in your closet over and over again just because it’s so easy? Striped tops would definitely fall under this category. When I bought this textured striped top and pale blue skirt I had envisioned pairing them separately with either a print or something that would bring higher contrast to the overall look. The versatility of the two pieces inspired me to start by pairing them together and keeping it clean and simple.
I thought it would be fun to do a throwback for throwback Thursday. Realizing that I never shared these pictures shot by my talented friend, Hannah Gweun, it seemed appropriate. This was a fun impromptu shoot after grabbing a bite from Urthe Caffe in downtown LA last Fall. I look back and reminisce on how amazing my experience of temporarily moving to a different city was. For me it’s a great reminder to never stop dreaming and that life is too short.
Speaking of fashion, check out my new Spring Haul! There is a GIVEAWAY included at the end of the video
“The Toron” sandwich from Baco Mercat which consists of oxtail hash, cheddar tater, and horseradish was sinfully delicious; like no joke it was foodgasmic. I flat out said “this is greasy but in the best way possible!” 0_o.
See how happy I am walking out after this meal? Yup forget the diamonds, you can win me over with food! 😀

Well this cupcake store was right across the street so I couldn’t resist. My favorite is the lemon flavor cupcake and the banana walnut is super yummy too!
